About the Role
Pratt Industries is seeking a General Laborer to be trained in our corrugating department as a machine operator, machine assistant/helper, and/or forklift driver to fill vacant positions. This is a full-time, year-round opportunity with a growing manufacturing company.
Responsibilities
- Operate and learn a variety of machinery including forklift equipment.
- Follow directions under limited supervision.
- Learn manufacturing principles and practices.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations and read a tape measure.
- Lift and load materials.
- Comply with safety and operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate with co-workers to provide and receive direction.
- Participate in periodic training assessed through internal audits.
Requirements
- Flexibility to work overtime including weekends based on business needs.
- Experience and/or willingness/ability to operate and/or learn a variety of machinery including forklift equipment.
- High school degree (or GED).
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility is highly preferred.
- Exemplary safety performance.
- Good performance/work history.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Workplace orderliness and housekeeping.
- Ability to be assessed on standards for performance, stability, dependability, and honesty.
