About the Role

Drive MongoDB's inorganic growth strategy by partnering on M&A and strategic investment activity. This role involves owning M&A execution end-to-end, sourcing, evaluating, and managing a pipeline of deals, and driving transactions from LOI through close and integration.

Responsibilities

Independently source, evaluate, and run a pipeline of M&A and investment opportunities.
Build and pressure-test valuation, structure, and strategic rationale.
Operate independently and escalate when necessary.
Step in as the primary driver for Corp Dev workstreams from LOI through close.
Run diligence across technical, product, commercial, and financial dimensions.
Coordinate structuring and cross-functional input to ensure deal progression.
Bring structure and clarity to the final stages of a deal.
Partner with the Integration Team and cross-functional stakeholders on integration planning.
Surface actionable opportunities from the Ventures team's pipeline.
Maintain a precise understanding of the competitive and technological landscape.
Flag high-conviction opportunities to senior leadership.
Partner with Product and Engineering leaders on strategic fit and integration.
Work with Finance and Legal to structure and close transactions efficiently.
Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders across the business.

Requirements

4–8 years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Venture Capital.
Meaningful experience running deal workstreams and readiness to own transactions end-to-end with autonomy.
Comfort operating independently while knowing when to involve senior leaders.
Strong judgment, particularly under time pressure and incomplete information.
High bar for analytical rigor, with the ability to move without perfect data.
Ability to engage credibly with technical leaders while maintaining a clear business perspective.
Direct, low-ego, and accountable approach focused on outcomes.
Consistent local office presence.
Travel as required for transactions and relationship development.
