About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and personable bartender to join our team at the AC Hotel Austin Hill Country and Violet Sky Rooftop Lounge. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, knowledgeable in mixology, and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, upscale environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guidelines.
- Engage with guests, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain bar area cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with laws and policies.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Restock bar inventory and supplies.
- Collaborate with restaurant and lounge staff for seamless service.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with bar setup, breakdown, and opening/closing duties.
- Participate in training and stay updated on menu items and promotions.
Requirements
- Previous bartending experience in a hotel, restaurant, or upscale lounge preferred.
- Strong knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and beverage trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and possess required certifications (e.g., TABC, ServSafe).
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Perform repetitive motions such as shaking, stirring, and pouring.
