About the Role
The Investment Analytics Engineering Team operates at the intersection of financial analytics and programming/data science. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a high-impact, high-skill team whose scope and impact continue to grow.
Responsibilities
- Assist in research and propose new analytic methodologies; identify opportunities to enhance decision-making and expand our analytics offering.
- Assist in developing scalable investment analytics (e.g., performance, attribution, risk, exposure, modeling), including transforming data and preparing/building data visualizations and business intelligence outputs.
- Support process and workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk, including assisting with data engineering tasks that strengthen data pipelines.
- Propose and apply AI where it adds value, such as in financial modelling, anomaly detection, and natural-language database querying.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Curiosity about the asset management industry and investment analytics.
- Enjoy working with data and are eager to develop skills in extracting insights through technology.
- Building on the ability to understand, query, and analyze information from datasets, and you’re eager to grow your data science skill set through hands-on experience.
- Approach problems with an analytical mindset, enjoy identifying patterns, and are motivated to learn how to develop practical solutions.
- Work well with others, contribute positively to team discussions, and communicate clearly as you learn and ask questions.
- Consistently look for ways to improve how things are done, willing to take a critical view of processes, and able to support multiple tasks or mini projects.
