About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Medical Assistant or California LVN to serve as the consistent onsite Operations Lead for a downtown San Francisco employee health clinic. This role involves providing hands-on patient care while ensuring the clinic is organized, prepared, and running smoothly. You will be the primary onsite operational contact, with support from leadership for escalations. This position offers a predictable weekday schedule with no evenings, weekends, or on-call duties.
Responsibilities
- Own daily clinic readiness, patient flow and recurring onsite operational processes.
- Coordinate PRN coverage, schedule changes and onsite onboarding for PRN staff and new hires.
- Welcome and room patients, obtain vital signs and maintain accurate intake and EHR documentation.
- Perform blood draws, specimen-related services, vaccines, injections, EKGs and point-of-care testing within your training, competency and professional scope.
- Coordinate appointments, referrals, follow-up records, patient communications and routine front-desk needs.
- Keep examination rooms, supplies, inventory and equipment ready, including monitoring expirations, restocking and coordinating orders, vendors or service needs.
- Support team meetings, action tracking, established workflows, operational records and patient-engagement activities.
- Communicate safety, staffing, workflow or compliance concerns promptly to the appropriate clinical or operational leader.
Requirements
- Completion of education or training that meets applicable California requirements for Medical Assistant, with demonstrated competency for assigned duties.
- An active, unrestricted California LVN license.
- Strong, current phlebotomy and specimen-handling skills.
- Recent vaccine administration experience.
- Current BLS (CPR) certification.
- Experience with patient intake, vital signs, specimen handling, EKGs, point-of-care testing and routine outpatient clinical support.
- Strong organization, reliability and confidence working independently onsite.
- Accurate documentation and professional, patient-centered communication.
- Comfort using an EHR and standard office technology.
- Reliable availability for the full onsite schedule in San Francisco.
