About the Role
The Sort Technician is responsible for capturing the details of every IT asset DMD receives. This role determines the next phase of the process based on item, condition, and customer needs, requiring the ability to consult decision matrices and interpret incomplete information to maximize asset value.
Responsibilities
- Capture associated IT asset data and enter into our system
- Determine the next phase of the process for each item
- Organize equipment based on type, value, or other criteria as necessary
- Separate items based on resale or recycle
- Provide recommendations and actions to improve the department and outcomes
- Participate in offsite projects as appropriate
- Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Computer basics including data entry
- Must have great communication skills, be detailed-oriented, and consistency
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, squat, twist, bend, and lift between 10-50 lbs. (or more) regularly
