About the Role
Hudson Valley Community College is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join our Faculty team. Teaching assignments may include weekend, evening, and online. This position is for an Instructor in Sociology for the Spring 2027 semester.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in sociology courses at the 100 and 200 level.
- Teach in other department areas as needed.
- Evaluate student performance and complete assessments as required by the College.
- Participate in departmental, division wide, and/or college wide initiatives.
- Perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract at the direction of the Department Chairperson.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in sociology or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Previous college teaching experience.
- Ability to teach on campus classes.
- Must currently hold unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States.
- Appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check.
