About the Role
BCG is seeking an experienced AI Factory (AIF) Staffing Senior Specialist to recommend key recruiting and staffing decisions. This role involves collaborating with various teams to assign talent to Applied AI projects and business efforts, providing strategic staffing recommendations, and maintaining visibility into employee deployment to proactively address resourcing needs for forecasted projects.
Responsibilities
- Optimize deployment of BCG resources across the AI Factory's resource pools, balancing business needs with individual career development objectives.
- Orchestrate resourcing across regions and practice areas for the AI Factory, balancing speed, capability fit, cost, and sustainability.
- Maintain awareness of the business environment and project priorities; communicate project opportunities and engage stakeholders on staffing decisions.
- Identify talent pools and source high-quality candidates; build pipelines for current and future roles.
- Support and coordinate internal initiatives to strengthen the talent pipeline.
- Act as the primary contact for BCG talent involved in AI Factory work, understanding development needs and staffing preferences.
- Advise on staffing choices that balance business needs with individual preferences.
- Communicate staffing decisions and their rationale, enforcing staffing policies.
- Own the staffing process end-to-end, collaborating with fellow staffers.
- Create visibility into current and planned resource allocation with a diversity, fairness, and equity lens.
- Maintain accurate tools, reporting, and trackers for project assignments, training, and time off.
- Contribute to the improvement of staffing processes and systems.
- Partner with the wider staffing and HR team to ensure staff data accuracy.
- Provide input to BCG HR and stakeholders on employee matters.
- Work with talent team and finance on reporting of assigned resources, including timesheet reviews and new business wins.
Requirements
- Typically 4–6 years of experience in professional or technology services, ideally in staffing, talent management, workforce planning, people, or recruiting functions.
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Strong understanding of BCG's staffing processes, people and CD model, and matrix ways of working (prior BCG experience strongly preferred).
- Experience coordinating staffing (ideally across regions and/or portfolios).
- Interest in AI, digital, and technology-enabled transformation topics.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English fluency required.
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, along with proficiency using AI tools in day-to-day work.
