About the Role

The Trade Compliance department is an important piece of the international business segment. Candidates will work with L3Harris Sales and Program Management personnel to provide guidance related to the imports and exports of U.S. State Department and U.S. Commerce Department controlled goods. Candidates must be able to work effectively with a cross-functional team to keep L3Harris in compliance with regulations while also helping to foster international growth.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the execution of divisional compliance policies (e.g. visitor processing, foreign travel, and restricted parties screening) in accordance with U.S. trade regulations (ITAR and EAR).
Responsible for providing compliance guidance to the business population.
Responsible for authoring license and agreement applications.
Responsible for managing U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Commerce license recordkeeping requirements.
Responsible for reviewing department export authorizations for accuracy and adherence to Corporate Trade policies.
Responsible for implementing and adherence to Corporate Trade policies.
Responsible for reviewing the applicability of Exemptions/Exceptions for the department.
Responsible for the department’s continued understanding of current USG authorization policies and requirements.
Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
Bachelor's Degree with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 8 years prior experience or Graduate Degree with 2 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
The ability to effectively coordinate simultaneous activities, and successfully prioritize multiple tasks with good judgment
Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
Exhibits a high level of integrity and discretion
BA/BS or equivalent experience; preferably in one of the following fields: Business, Political Science, International Studies
The ability to effectively coordinate simultaneous activities, and prioritize multiple tasks with good judgment
Willingness to travel if required

Skills

Prior knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations
Broad knowledge of project management
Experience with U.S. trade regulations (ITAR and EAR)
Experience with OCR EASE
Experience with U.S. customs compliance requirements, including import classification, valuation, country of origin, duty treatment, broker coordination, and entry-document review.
Familiarity with customs audit readiness, recordkeeping obligations, post-entry corrections, free trade agreement qualification, and coordination with cross-functional stakeholders on import/export compliance matters.
