About the Role

The Audio Visual Technician will provide support for AV conference spaces and systems, ensuring their availability and functionality. This role involves rapid-response troubleshooting and delivering exceptional technical support for meetings, including those with C-level executives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide white-glove technical support for internal, customer, and C-level executive meetings.
  • Actively engage with clients under a hospitality mindset and framework.
  • Proactively identify potential AV issues and provide client-centered solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise for the deployment and operation of Crestron Flex and Polycom VTC codec.
  • Monitor and manage the conference room booking system, assisting customers with alternative bookings.
  • Review standard setup specifications for meetings and conferences.
  • Contact clients to confirm proper setup of configurable rooms per specifications.
  • Ensure cleanliness, comfortable temperature, and full functionality of conference rooms.
  • Apply electronics troubleshooting skills to determine and localize problems.
  • Maintain conference room standards for signage, equipment, and seating.
  • Respond to client requests promptly with a service-oriented, friendly attitude.
  • Ensure consumables are available for clients and raise equipment concerns proactively.
  • Provide support for audio-video systems and media control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain audio/video devices and associated wiring.
  • Perform routine and proactive testing to ensure equipment functionality before use.
  • Conduct alignment and calibration procedures for audio and video devices.
  • Communicate maintenance or repair needs for audio-visual equipment clearly and promptly.
  • Perform regular maintenance, software and firmware updates, preventive maintenance, and routine repairs.
  • Engage in commissioning and programming tasks as required.
  • Uphold a hospitable environment by anticipating client needs and delivering courteous, attentive service.
  • Perform any other duties and tasks assigned with a positive, client-first approach.

Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience in a client/customer service-oriented environment, preferably in a corporate conference center.
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office in an office environment.
  • Familiarity with integrated AV systems.
  • Ability to learn new software as required for the position.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Must always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Experience with a hotel, corporate conference center, or large enterprise systems.
  • Use of company phone to complete checklists and work orders.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
