About the Role

This position will drive product planning, execution, and delivery of new and emerging mobility and technology services, transforming the Toronto Parking Authority (TPA) into a leading mobility services provider with a fully integrated customer experience across physical and digital touchpoints. The Senior Manager, EV Network Development will develop product roadmaps and execute plans that deliver improved customer and operational outcomes and margins for TPA’s portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product strategy roadmaps based on current and directional trends related to emerging mobility, digital business, and customer needs.
  • Lead product development for mobility/micro-mobility and technology-driven customer experiences, including hardware, digital touchpoints, innovation prototypes, pilots, and technology integration.
  • Execute strategic initiatives to deliver superior experiences that bridge the digital and physical worlds, empowering customers to engage with TPA across multiple channels.
  • Collaborate with IT to build new systems, processes, and business requirements for new business and customer experiences.
  • Lead the creation of Scope of Work (SOW) documentation for procurement processes (RFP, RFQ, EOI).
  • Manage the digital business portfolio, including project setup, tracking, closure, quality assurance reviews, and KPIs.
  • Represent TPA’s interests on multi-disciplinary working groups and technology pilots.
  • Oversee approvals and coordination with City and external stakeholders.
  • Direct activities, assign responsibilities, set expectations, and motivate direct reports and cross-functional teams.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop individuals and teams, providing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Onboard and partner with external resources to source temporary project management staff as needed.
  • Develop metrics to monitor and evaluate business performance for new mobility and digital services.
  • Monitor volume trends, customer demographics, and activity across customer channels to identify opportunities for operational improvements and pricing.
  • Use Business Intelligence data to improve decision-making and leverage data analytics for strategic and operational opportunities.
  • Integrate performance measurement metrics with customer engagement and satisfaction surveys.
  • Manage P&Ls, targets, and budgets related to responsible operating and capital programs.
  • Co-lead the preparation and management of annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Recommend revenue management and cost control opportunities to improve the P&L.
  • Recommend contract amendments and terms for negotiation.
  • Lead government funding applications and expense claim reimbursements.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • University degree in a related discipline (Business Administration, Marketing, Planning, Project Management, Information Technology, or equivalent).
  • Minimum three (3) years of product management and program delivery experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in EV charging, mobility, retail, digital, and/or omnichannel experience.
  • Broad knowledge in product management, e-commerce, and digital programs is an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of procurement processes and contract management.
  • Sound understanding of Change Management practices.
  • Ability to partner with and influence individuals and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to execute high-level program planning and think strategically.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills grounded in data and consumer insights.
  • Ability to incorporate analytics into project requirements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and influencing skills.
