About the Role
The AMD Server Platform Hardware Design team is seeking an engineer for PCBA-based logic design centered on current and future PC architecture, specifically for hardware debug, validation, and testing of AMD microprocessors and chipsets. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with various engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive specifications for board level and system level products.
- Design board-level products using Cadence tools.
- Debug prototypes to achieve production-worthy products.
- Oversee the manufacturing process at outside vendors.
- Write and review detailed technical documentation.
- Provide technical expertise and leadership for less experienced engineers.
- Support product engineering in resolving customer problems which requires system-level expertise.
- Provide debug, applications support, and design assistance to customers, field applications, and sales.
Requirements
- Excellent board level debugging skills.
- Experience with engineering lab equipment: oscilloscopes, signal generators, DC power supplies, bus logic analyzers, etc.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and customer facing interaction.
- This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Education Level
- A technology related Bachelor's or Master's degree
