About the Role

The Website Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and optimization of Save the Children's website, ensuring content is accurate, accessible, and engaging. This role supports digital campaigns and improves website performance by collaborating with various departments and external vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update website content using a Content Management System (CMS).
  • Create, edit, format, and publish web pages, landing pages, and multimedia content.
  • Ensure website content is accurate, current, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Coordinate content production, reviews and approvals with internal key contacts.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify outdated, broken, or duplicate content.
  • Monitor website performance and user behavior using analytics tools.
  • Support conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives through A/B testing and user experience improvements.
  • Implement SEO best practices, including metadata, keyword optimization, internal linking, and content structure.
  • Recommend improvements to navigation, page layouts, and content organization to enhance usability and engagement.
  • Ensure websites meet accessibility standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Web Development, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience managing websites or digital content.
  • Experience in International Development, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO/INGO), or other not-for-profit sectors is preferred.
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager).
  • Experience using web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics.
  • Knowledge of SEO, accessibility standards (WCAG), and user experience principles.
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated project management experience for task execution.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools and relevant technologies.
  • Ability to work under pressure within tight timelines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability to support change management.
  • Ability to make sound, accountable decisions in adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Ability to think creatively to support innovative initiatives and collaborations.
  • Ability to occasionally travel locally, nationally and internationally (less than 10%) as required.
