About the Role
As an intern, you will be assigned to various client teams to assist in providing consulting advice and services to multinational companies concerning retirement, health and welfare, and broader benefits and compensation issues for their global operations. You will serve as a resource for associates and consultants by performing intricate aspects of client work, gaining immediate exposure to real client assignments that require imagination, creativity, data analysis, and presentation skills. These experiences will build your technical knowledge and industry expertise within a collaborative team environment. Interns are eligible for a comprehensive actuarial exam study program, including paid study hours, materials, and guidance towards an accredited actuarial designation, alongside key learning and development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in providing consulting advice and services to multinational companies.
- Address retirement, health and welfare, and broader benefits and compensation issues for global operations.
- Serve as a resource for associates and consultants by performing intricate aspects of client work.
- Gain exposure to real client assignments.
- Analyze data, draw conclusions, and present results.
- Participate in key learning and development opportunities.
Requirements
- Progress towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a major with significant quantitative coursework.
- Strong academic record (GPA of 3.0+).
- Ideally completed one or more actuarial exams.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to ask the right questions and seek help.
- Ability to respond to communications effectively and in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and on client teams.
- Enjoy a fast-paced environment.
- Sense of accountability and pride in one's work.
- Self-starter with a willingness to continually challenge oneself and step outside of one's comfort zone.
- Graduating with a Bachelor's or Master's degree between December 2027 through June 2028.
- Open to working in Fall 2027 through December 2027.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship now or in the future.
- Student visas, CPT, OPT, H-1B, TN, and other temporary work authorizations are considered restricted forms of employment eligibility.
- Must be able to present another valid form of work authorization once temporary authorizations expire.
