About the Role
Oversee the flow of lessons, lead and develop the deck team, and ensure a positive experience for students and families. This role requires strong leadership, ownership, and clear communication skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee shifts from start to finish, including deck preparation, leading meetings, and ensuring lessons run on time.
- Coach Swim Instructors, Deck Assistants, and Lifeguards through observation and feedback.
- Interact with parents to discuss student progress and ensure member satisfaction.
- Complete daily logs and monitor student attendance.
- Conduct periodic evaluations of Swim Instructors and provide feedback.
- Coordinate facility cleanliness and ensure pool environment standards are met.
- Arrange coverage for absent team members.
- Substitute as a Swim Instructor or Lifeguard when necessary.
- Identify areas for improvement and assist in implementing corrective actions through training.
Requirements
- Current Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required and must remain active.
- Background in youth sports coaching, camp leadership, or teaching is a plus.
- Must be available for evening and weekend shifts.
- Ability to work in environments with heat, humidity, and chlorine.
- Ability to work in moderately noisy environments.
