About the Role
AECOM is seeking an Air Quality Scientist III to perform air quality and/or noise impact analyses using mathematical modeling tools and conducting ambient and source air and noise monitoring programs. This role requires field work in urban and rural settings, strong communication skills, teamwork, and a willingness to learn air and noise modeling software.
Responsibilities
- Perform field work in both urban and rural settings.
- Perform air quality and/or noise impact analyses through using mathematical modeling tools.
- Conduct ambient and source air and noise monitoring programs.
Requirements
- BS degree in Physics, Mathematics, Atmospheric Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Valid Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Strong analytical and computational skill.
- Excellent technical writing skills and ability to effectively discussion his or her work.
- Detail oriented and have the ability to work independently.
- Experienced with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- 40 hour HAZWOPER training.
