About the Role
This hands-on role involves leading discovery and design for active AI projects, collaborating with business teams, and managing execution with engineering partners. The primary focus will be on understanding and redesigning daily workflows using modern AI tools. This position is ideal for an early-career product manager seeking to rapidly build AI expertise and grow with an expanding team.
Responsibilities
- Lead structured discovery sessions with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to map current processes, identify pain points, and quantify baseline metrics.
- Surface process edge cases and undocumented exceptions to maximize AI value.
- Translate current state intelligence into an AI transformation design brief that reimagines the process from scratch.
- Author detailed solution design briefs defining AI capabilities, inputs, outputs, logic, and quality control frameworks.
- Manage the working relationship with specialist engineering partners throughout the build cycle.
- Review partner outputs against the design brief and acceptance criteria, escalating issues as needed.
- Facilitate the review-feedback-refine loop between engineering partners and internal stakeholders.
- Design the Quality Control (QC) framework for AI use cases before the engineering build begins.
- Collaborate to establish evaluation rubrics, datasets, and accuracy thresholds for production-ready AI.
- Coordinate the shadow run period for AI outputs against current processes.
- Work with functional heads to build end-user adoption plans.
- Track post-deployment metrics against pre-implementation baselines.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in product management, product analysis, or a closely related role with direct exposure to AI-enabled products.
- Demonstrated ability to lead structured discovery with domain experts and translate findings into a clear design brief.
- Experience authoring clear written product artifacts such as process maps, design briefs, and specifications.
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and structuring undefined problems end-to-end.
- A willingness to learn partner management and hold partners to a specification is essential.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field is required.
