About the Role
Citizen Action is seeking a temporary Field Director to support its statewide door-to-door canvassing operation. This role reports to the Political Director.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Political Director to recruit applicants for the canvasser job.
- Train and field new canvassers.
- Provide logistical support for the statewide canvass, including ensuring canvassers are supplied and restocked with campaign collateral.
- Be available afternoons and evenings during the week and/or on weekends.
- Perform any other duties as required by the Political Director.
Requirements
- Ability to recruit and train new canvasser applicants.
- Great communication and people skills.
- Respect for diverse communities and varied worldviews.
- Ability to go door-to-door.
- Patience and persistence.
- Access to a computer with internet access.
- Access to a phone.
- Comfort using basic online software.
- A commitment to promoting racial and gender justice.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel statewide.
- Supervise door canvassers as designated by the Political Director.
