About the Role
Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Patrol Officer to join their team in San Francisco, CA. This role involves safeguarding clients, conducting routine patrols, responding to security concerns, and providing excellent customer service in a public transportation environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, commuters, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at government transportation locations.
- Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, transit areas, surrounding grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe activity within assigned areas, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, property concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
