About the Role
JLL is hiring a Building Operator to join the maintenance team. The Operator will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment, building operations, lighting, plumbing, and electrical/mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Respond to tenant and user service calls and complaints quickly and efficiently.
- Perform work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.
- Provide assistance as directed to other building operations staff in preventative maintenance and electrical maintenance.
- Perform water treatment testing and analysis, adjusting chemical feed to maintain proper levels.
- Act as relief for other similar positions.
- Complete custodial housekeeping tasks in mechanical/electrical areas.
- Perform other related duties as required and reasonably assigned.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in building repairs/operations.
- Completion of BES certificate or trade school is an asset.
- Basic interpersonal skills demonstrating professionalism and commitment to service excellence.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills; must be able to comprehend issues, resolve them, and complete logs.
- Aptitude to learn state-of-the-art Building Automation Systems.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to react swiftly and accurately to crisis situations.
- Ability to respond to unexpected emergency call-backs.
- Ability to perform job requirements with minimal supervision and complete assigned tasks by agreed deadlines.
