About the Role
Adobe is seeking an attorney for its Ethics and Compliance Office to ensure integrity across its business, with a strong focus on trade compliance, anti-bribery, and corruption. This role involves collaborating with business and legal teams to provide practical, business-centric advice and develop technology-driven compliance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Advise product teams on global trade regulations, including sanctions, export controls, customs, and supply chain rules.
- Provide day-to-day trade and anticorruption compliance guidance and track emerging regulatory trends.
- Advise on restricted party screening controls, processes, and procedures, including supporting automation.
- Provide strategic trade and anticorruption compliance advice for complex commercial agreements, including drafting and negotiating terms.
- Maintain strong relationships across the business to identify and address trade and antibribery/anticorruption compliance risks.
- Support trade and anticorruption compliance activities related to merger-and-acquisition due diligence and business-integration.
- Provide training on trade compliance topics to cross-functional teams.
- Handle regulatory inquiries and filings with U.S. and other agencies.
- Advise on other compliance matters.
Requirements
- Law degree/JD.
- Mix of law firm and in-house experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of legal experience advising on U.S. economic sanctions and export control laws and other compliance regulations.
- Experience advising multinational companies on non-U.S. trade laws, including EU and UK sanctions and export control regimes.
- Passion for developing and using technology in legal practice.
- Highly effective communicator who can translate complex regulations into actionable guidance.
- Self-starter who can operate independently in a dynamic global environment.
- Approachable and flexible manner.
- Willingness to work flexible hours for collaboration with non-US-based team members.
