About the Role

As the Editorial intern, you will support reporters and editors in producing journalism for a leading business news franchise. You will also have the opportunity to work with the longform/special projects team to produce an award-winning climate solutions podcast.

Responsibilities

  • Pitch and produce longform/special projects in the newsroom
  • Participate in group edits and feedback sessions for special projects in the newsroom
  • Assist Managing Editor and Deputies in coordinating cross-newsroom communication and collaboration on a daily basis
  • Assist reporters and editors in finding and interviewing sources, conceptualizing and executing reporter-led stories

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university, or graduated within the past 18 months
  • Available full-time (40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.) throughout the internship
  • Ability to write clearly and accurately under strict deadlines and work independently
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products with the ability to learn new software programs
  • Demonstrated interest (not necessary experience) in audio journalism
  • Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
