About the Role
As an Application Engineer with AWC, you will support the sales team by collaborating with customers to understand their applications and discuss technological improvements. The ideal candidate is innovative, passionate, resourceful, and technically skilled.
Responsibilities
- Communicate the implementation of technical solutions to key accounts.
- Collaborate with inside and outside sales teams to implement technology solutions.
- Educate on concepts ranging from basic electricity and motor control to complex SCADA database management and networking.
- Provide technical support for PLC, I/O, HMI, SCADA, Drives, Synchronized Motion Control, Networking, WiFi, Radios, Motor Controls, Control Panel Design, and Power Distribution.
- Troubleshoot existing facilities and networks to restore customer operations.
- Develop Bills-Of-Material based on customer requirements.
- Demonstrate proficiency in hardware and software.
- Document and share best practices with colleagues.
- Manage a complex schedule as a motivated self-starter.
Requirements
- 2- or 4-Year Technical Degree (Engineering preferred)
- 2 years of hands-on technical experience
- Strong technical aptitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-confidence and ability to manage conflict
- Ability to manage a team to meet multiple deadlines and approvals with strict attention to detail
