About the Role
The Marketing Specialist will support the implementation of marketing strategies and activities for energy efficiency efforts with utility and government clients in Illinois. This role involves project management and writing of marketing communications for residential energy efficiency programs through email marketing, collateral, and print production. The specialist will proofread materials for accuracy and brand compliance, monitor campaign performance, and prepare status reports and presentations for client meetings and events.
Responsibilities
- Embrace and operate within our core values.
- Implement marketing and communications plans to educate customers about energy efficiency and drive participation in energy efficiency programs.
- Develop on- and offline-marketing materials including website content, print materials, email communications, and brochures.
- Own the development and delivery of written reports and project updates in client-facing meetings and with vendor partners.
- Proof marketing materials for program accuracy and brand compliance.
- Monitor campaign performance.
- Prepare status reports and supporting presentations for client meetings and events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field of study from an accredited college, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience working in a marketing, advertising, public relations agency or consulting environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled at cross-functional communication and a team player.
- Demonstrated experience representing diverse cultures in marketing projects and campaigns.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
- Demonstrated experience implementing marketing communication plans.
- Ability to manage and execute collateral development, email and direct mail campaigns, advertising, and social media projects.
- Proficient use of computer and online tools, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and social networking sites.
- Available for occasional travel to the client’s office.
