About the Role
Transitional Services for New York, Inc. (TSINY) is seeking a Corporate Compliance Specialist to ensure the agency adheres to all Federal, State, and City laws, regulations, and policies. This role involves conducting audits, investigating incidents, and developing policies to maintain compliance and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a member of the Incident Review Committee.
- Report incidents to the Justice Center and New York State Office of Mental Health.
- Investigate allegations of client abuse and neglect.
- Audit insurance claims for compliance with requirements and regulations.
- Provide training for staff and directors.
- Audit all programs for adherence to operating regulations.
- Be available 24/7 for serious incidents.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Monitor the agency's compliance program.
- Participate in the ongoing development of the compliance program.
- Perform HIPPA Privacy Officer duties.
- Participate in the Staff Development Committee and agency staff development efforts.
- Coordinate staff orientation.
- Monitor AWARD Helpdesk and Zendesk.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree.
- 3-5 years of administrative, supervisory, and clinical experience with a psychiatric population.
- Evidence of progressively responsible positions is desirable.
- Ability to sit or stand as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- May require walking, primarily on a level surface, for short periods throughout the day, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist or lift as required to file.
- Ability to document or store materials throughout the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to assume and adhere to assigned Job Action role(s) consistent with the Disaster Preparedness Plan during a declared disaster.
