About the Role
NGT Academy is seeking a part-time CCNA Instructor to lead live instruction for networking students and maintain the CCNA curriculum. This role involves hosting weekly study hall sessions, monitoring Cisco's CCNA blueprint for updates, and responding to student inquiries. The instructor will also lead a major CCNA course rebuild for the 2027 Cisco exam changes as a separately compensated project.
Responsibilities
- Host one live 60-minute study hall session per week for CCNA students, covering concept walkthroughs, practice questions, and live Q&A.
- Monitor Cisco's CCNA 200-301 blueprint and keep course content current as the exam evolves.
- Respond to student questions asynchronously, with support from the training team.
- Submit a brief monthly summary of sessions held and content updates made.
- Lead the upcoming CCNA course rebuild for the 2027 Cisco exam changes as a separately compensated project.
Requirements
- Active Cisco certification at CCNA level or above (CCNP or CCIE preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on networking experience in enterprise, ISP, or military/DoD network environments.
- Minimum 1 year of teaching, training, or mentoring adults (formal instruction, corporate training, or military instructor roles qualify).
- Strong on-camera presence.
- Reliable weekly availability for a consistent live session.
- Submission of a 3-5 minute teaching sample (existing recording or Loom video) with the application.
