About the Role

The Day Habilitation Floor Supervisor assists individuals in developing communication and interpersonal skills, exploring new interests on-site and in the community, and ensures program needs, routines, and requirements are met. This role may also involve transporting individuals and coordinating activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assists individuals to develop communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Assists individuals to explore new interests on-site and in the community.
  • Assists management in ensuring program needs, routine, and requirements are met.
  • Transports individuals we support to/from program and within the community.
  • Coordinates recreational and other activities.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a valid driver's license meeting WWAARC insurability standards.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of individual and agency information.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead staff.
  • Demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be empathetic, compassionate, patient, and reliable.
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English for effective communication and documentation.
  • Able to perform essential physical functions including lifting up to 50 pounds, twisting/bending, and prolonged movement.
