About the Role
The Patient Service Representative will assist patients in obtaining services, understanding policies, and making healthcare decisions. This role involves verifying medical insurance and ensuring payment collection at the time of service.
Responsibilities
- Provides front office registration duties such as collecting patient demographic information, inputting insurance information, verifying benefits, and acquiring signatures on ER consent forms.
- Enters all patient information into the EHR and billing software and completes records by scanning all signed documents and medical reports in patient files.
- Maintains and files patient records for a set period as required by DSHS in the appropriate area.
- Provides medical records to other providers as requested upon completion of authorization to release information signed by the patient.
- Properly logs payment and cash receipts as required through Square while maintaining the cash drawer during shift.
- Maintains accurate records for the billing office through the payment log regarding TOS payments and payer information.
- Protects company sensitive data and ensures patient information is treated with utmost care and confidence.
- Reports any concerns or infractions regarding privacy and security laws and internal policies.
- Protects credentials provided to access Company networks, systems, and data.
- Maintains the confidentiality of all Ally and customer data.
- Reports any suspected compromises of Ally proprietary data or customer data to Management immediately.
- Adheres to the Company’s Information Security Policy and Procedures and supports standard operating procedures to protect Company systems and data.
- Alerts management immediately with any expected system or data compromises and/or system failure impacting the security, confidentiality, availability, and integrity of Ally Medical and customer data.
- Attends annual Information Security Awareness Training.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent active listening skills and a strong service orientation.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Detail and multitask oriented.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

- One (1) or more years of experience in clerical support.
Education Level
- High School Diploma/GED
- CPR/BLS Certification required
