The Senior Buyer will lead material procurement for Development(s) as applicable.

Preparing material tenders for project(s).
Procurement of all material packages.
Managing supplier accounts to include raising payments, reviewing and assessing price increases and preparing and settling final accounts.
Reviewing drawing changes.
Reviewing and procuring material requests where appropriate.
Producing valuation reports to advise of any cost movements and reporting to the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.
Implementation of buying function in line with the Commercial Policies & Procedures Manual.
Attend design team meetings.
Carry out detailed package review meetings & drive value engineering opportunities of design & scope information.
Identifying & establishing appropriate products to increase efficiency of the business.
Financial accountability for the material budget of project.
Partnership & co-operation with the Project Team for operational and financial delivery.

Capable of working independently with minimum supervision and as part of the wider project team.
Excellent communication skills to be able to communicate daily with the relevant members of the Technical, Sales, Construction, Surveying and Finance teams.
Very good commercial acumen.
Good Interpersonal skills.
Very good negotiation skills.
Good construction knowledge.
