About the Role
The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International. We seek individuals like YOU to create unique and show-stopping experiences for our guests. Peace Officers are responsible for providing Excellent Guest Service, ensuring the safety of employees and guests, and patrolling the property.
Responsibilities
- Patrol and monitor all areas of the property, including fixed posts (indoor & outdoor) and operating the mobile security unit vehicle
- Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees
- Act as a First Responder in emergency situations
- Perform gaming drops/transactions, including carrying drop boxes and chip carriers
- Resolve complaints and issues involving both guests and employees
- Perform all duties related to the Security Horse Racing / Paddock operation
- Handle any valid arrests, including all booking, processing, and follow-up procedures as dictated by NYS Law for Peace Officers
- Perform all duties related to the "Security Dispatch" and "Lost & Found" roles
- Utilize security software to create, edit, and review security reports and other forms of incident documentation
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 1+ year of prior relevant experience in customer service
- 3+ years of prior relevant experience in Law Enforcement or private sector security
- 21 years or older
- Valid Drivers License
- Obtain (if not already certified) and maintain the New York State "Peace Officer" designation through the State of New York Division of Criminal Justice Services

Salary/Compensations
- $34.41 per hour
- Pay is subject to review following 90 days of employment.
- Overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
