About the Role

AMC Global Media is a leading entertainment company with a diverse portfolio of TV and film content and streaming services. We are seeking an Assistant - Administrative to support the Linear & Streaming Operations team in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Support EVP, Linear & Streaming Products and SVP, Programming Strategy & Acquisitions with all administrative responsibilities.
  • Manage complex calendars, including scheduling meetings across multiple time zones and coordinating internal and external participants.
  • Prioritize and resolve scheduling conflicts while anticipating executive and team needs.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, transportation, and itineraries.
  • Prepare and reconcile expense reports in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage incoming communications and help facilitate timely responses and follow-up.
  • Schedule, organize, and support recurring team meetings, leadership meetings, and cross-functional working sessions.
  • Prepare meeting materials, agendas, presentations, and supporting documents.
  • Capture meeting notes and coordinate follow-up actions when appropriate.
  • Assist in planning team events, offsites, and other gatherings as needed.
  • Maintain organizational files, records, and shared resources.
  • Support document preparation, formatting, proofreading, and distribution.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and vendor-related paperwork as needed.
  • Order and maintain departmental office supplies.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including workspace setup, systems access, and orientation support.
  • Serve as a point of contact for administrative questions and operational support.
  • Liaise with IT and Facilities as needed.
  • Assist departments with special projects, research, and administrative initiatives on an as-needed basis.
  • Assist acquisitions team with screening / tracking potential content.
  • Help improve processes and identify opportunities to increase efficiency.
  • Manage team VP schedules on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Self-starter who demonstrates outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to communicate and work with all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills required.
  • Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and an ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines while always maintaining composure.
  • Experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams (Preferred).
  • Experience within media, entertainment, technology, streaming, or related industries (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of competitive entertainment landscape (Preferred).
  • Familiarity with expense management, travel booking, and event coordination (Preferred).
  • Experience using collaboration, project management and/or approved AI tools (Preferred).
  • A desire to grow within Programming and Content Strategy as this role is designed to be entry level with future growth potential based on opportunity and individual performance (Preferred).
