About the Role
Marriott Syracuse Downtown seeks a Bell Person/Shuttle Driver (Part-Time) to assist guests with luggage, perform pick-ups and drop-offs, and ensure brand standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Assist guests with luggage.
- Perform pick-ups and drop-offs at the airport.
- Assist guests upon check-in and check-out.
- Assist with and check luggage as needed.
- Show guests to their room after driving them from the airport to the hotel.
- Explain hotel facilities, their locations, hours of operation, and answer related questions.
- Check luggage for hotel guests for day and overnight stays.
- Maintain the designated lobby station, remaining alert for guest needs.
- Perform timely and friendly airport pick-ups and drop-offs for guests.
- Inspect vehicles used for shuttle services.
Requirements
- Must possess a self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Must be able to communicate well with guests.
- Must be willing to pitch-in and help co-workers.
- Must be a team player.
- Must understand and believe that every Crescent associate is a guest relations ambassador.
- Must have a valid NY driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists.
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes and luggage with sufficient manual dexterity in both hands.
- Ability to load and unload luggage up to 75 lbs.
