About the Role
The Grocery Retail Sales Analyst & Enablement Sr. Associate is a high-impact, multi-functional role central to the Grocery team's success. This individual will be a critical resource for regional customers, co-owning the analytics and insights engine for sales, planning, and growth across the channel. The role focuses 90% on retailer analytics, line review support, and performance reporting, translating data into actionable recommendations. Additionally, this role will manage administrative and contractual workflows for select retail accounts and lead Grocery-specific data management systems, requiring comfort with both spreadsheets and sell-in meetings.
Responsibilities
- Own analytics and performance reporting for the Grocery channel, delivering weekly, monthly, and ad hoc scorecards.
- Build and maintain selling stories using syndicated data, retailer POS, and internal reporting to influence merchant conversations and internal planning.
- Serve as the go-to data expert for the Grocery channel, providing ad hoc analysis for sell-in preparation, line review submissions, promotional planning, and category reviews.
- Translate complex data sets into clear narratives to support sales team confidence in retailer meetings.
- Proactively surface trends, risks, and opportunities across the Grocery portfolio.
- Build and refine dashboards, tools, and reporting processes for efficiency and scalability, leveraging AI.
- Manage retailer administrative workflows at select Grocery accounts, including trade funding, promotional setup, item setup, and compliance tracking.
- Own contractual obligations at assigned accounts, tracking deal terms and promotional commitments.
- Partner with the Retail team and internal stakeholders to resolve account-level issues.
- Lead the Grocery team sample process, ensuring timely shipment and communication.
- Lead and maintain Grocery-specific data infrastructure, owning systems, inputs, and outputs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Grocery-relevant data platforms, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
- Partner with the Centralized Insights & Analytics (CIA) team and other data stakeholders on methodology, tooling, and best practices.
- Identify and drive improvements to data systems and workflows to reduce manual effort and increase insight speed and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 1–3 years of experience in CPG sales or retail analytics, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience working with syndicated data platforms such as Circana (IRI) or Nielsen.
- Strong analytical foundation with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights and polished presentations.
- Highly organized with experience managing administrative and contractual workstreams.
- Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to distill complex stories and present them confidently.
- Self-starter who takes ownership and operates with urgency and follow-through.
- Insatiably curious, always asking 'why' and looking for the story beneath the numbers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with retail portal platforms (e.g., Walmart Luminate, Kroger 84.51°) is a plus.
- Experience with BI or data visualization tools (e.g., Omni, Tableau, Looker, Power BI) is a plus.
- Ability to travel to retailer meetings as needed.
