About the Role
We are a small floral design company providing flowers and plants to hotels and buildings in NYC, plus the Albany area. We are seeking an experienced and professional Driver/warehouse assistant with horticultural expertise to join our team. In this role, you will transport weekly floral arrangements from our warehouse in Athens to NYC. In addition, we produce upscale weddings and events in upstate NY. The perfect candidate must be interested in plants and flowers and learn what it takes to care for horticulture inside a building.
Responsibilities
- Deliver florals to NYC on a weekly basis
- Prepare fresh flowers as they are received
- Loading and delivery of materials needed to produce weddings and events
- Learn to care for plants in client facilities
- Comply with all company policies and driving laws
- Routine clean up work and maintenance in our warehouse
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Driver is required
- Valid/clean driver’s license
- Graduation certificate from high school
- Familiarity with plants and flowers & willing to learn
- Understanding of all relevant driving laws and regulations
- Clean driving record
- Willingness to learn what is necessary to prepare flowers for design work
