About the Role
The Audio Visual Technician student position provides technical support for audio/visual equipment in classrooms, lecture halls, and meeting rooms. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, staffing the AVS office, answering the on-call phone line, and responding to troubleshooting calls.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot classroom technology over the phone and in-person.
- Create and update tickets in a timely manner to provide clients relevant updates.
- Provides on-call support for the campus community.
- Collaborate with teammates to finish tasks and close tickets.
Requirements
- Must be a currently enrolled student at Ithaca College.
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Able to stand or sit for extended periods and lift 20 lbs comfortably.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills when troubleshooting.
- Complete Extron AV Associate certification.
