About the Role
As a Steward at Point Place Casino, you’ll maintain kitchen cleanliness, wash dishes, and support the culinary team by ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Effectively loads and operates the dish washing machines.
- Hand washes pots, pans and other items in accordance with the standards of sanitation and cleanliness.
- Thoroughly cleans dish machine by emptying tanks and filling tanks.
- Ensures that curtains are set up.
- Empties grease traps and barrels.
- Checks rinse agent and detergent and fills as necessary.
- Promptly notifies Supervisor of any irregularities with the machine.
- Thoroughly cleans and empties disposal drains regularly.
- Keeps dish cleaning area and floor clean and free from debris.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma/GED, required
- The ability to operate a dishwashing machine and floor machines.
- The ability to speak and understand English; interact with guests and co-workers.
- To be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- To accommodate a flexible work schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 31 - 40 pounds.
