About the Role

As a Business Development Representative, you will play a critical role in generating qualified pipeline and driving new business growth across Nasdaq's Calypso business, engaging financial institutions across the UK, Ireland, and South Africa. This role is ideal for someone who is commercially curious, data-driven, passionate about financial technology, and brings a proactive, strategic approach to enterprise prospecting.

Responsibilities

  • Own pipeline creation targets across the assigned territory, contributing directly to regional and global growth objectives.
  • Develop and execute account-based prospecting strategies to identify key stakeholders, business initiatives, and technology transformation opportunities within target financial institutions.
  • Generate qualified opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification, event follow-up, and collaboration with Marketing and Partner teams.
  • Leverage AI-powered sales tools and data platforms to improve account prioritisation, prospect research, and outreach personalisation.
  • Partner with Account Executives, Marketing, and Solution Consultants to execute coordinated account plans and drive pipeline progression.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales development, or enterprise pipeline generation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders within financial institutions.
  • Proven ability to research, qualify, and develop opportunities within complex enterprise organisations.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales engagement platforms such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar tools.
