About the Role

The Employee Experience & Outcomes (EXO) organization aims to build and maintain trust between Amazon and its workforce. Within EXO, the Research, Strategy & Solutions Team focuses on employee relations research, intelligence, and proactive strategies. This role involves assessing data, workplace dynamics, and trends to identify risks and gaps, translating insights into scalable initiatives, and influencing leaders to drive change.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain workforce research and trend-monitoring frameworks to detect labor market shifts, geopolitical signals, and employee sentiment patterns.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking to identify best practices and emerging risks.
  • Develop predictive risk models to anticipate Employee Relations (ER) challenges.
  • Produce research outputs to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Apply employee and labor relations expertise to identify trends, predict and mitigate risk, and develop solution-focused strategies.
  • Synthesize workforce data, labor-market intelligence, and employee sentiment to surface emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Exercise strong analytical skills using data and anecdotes to develop persuasive narratives and recommendations.
  • Define and measure program success through clear KPIs and research-backed evaluation frameworks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Internal Communications, Public Policy, Public Relations, Legal, HR, Operations) to develop and implement comprehensive strategies.
  • Lead research initiatives that inform policy decisions and public-facing communications.
  • Independently design, own, and lead large-scale, network-wide projects to improve frontline employee experience.
  • Translate research findings into scalable mechanisms and programs for entire networks.
  • Lead the design and implementation with cross-functional partners of tech solutions for managing employee relations.
  • Rapidly produce high-quality written communications that analyze problems and move solutions from concept to execution.
  • Present research findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Build constructive relationships with stakeholders and peers to share information, influence change, and leverage resources.
  • Work independently in ambiguous situations and persevere over barriers to drive resolutions.
  • Challenge current practices and industry status quo to generate creative mechanisms for large-scale solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Program Management, Human Resources, Employment Law, Computer Science, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research or a related field.
  • Experience in employee relations, labor relations, human relations or labor/employment law.
  • Experience as an HR specialist, HR generalist (e.g., HR Business Partner or HR Partner), HR manager, or in HR program roles.
