About the Role
Join The Pines at Utica as our new Assistant Director of Nursing. This role involves coordinating daily operations, ensuring high standards of resident care and safety, and leading a nursing team to deliver exceptional service. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to achieve clinical program objectives, enhance care standards, and improve resident well-being.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing operations, including staffing, training, and quality assurance
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of nurses and healthcare professionals
- Support the development and implementation of care plans and protocols
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize resident care
- Serve as operational liaison between the nursing units and the Director of Nursing
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional care to our residents
- Participate in quality assurance monitoring and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in nursing care
- Facilitate the implementation of the care delivery model
- Responsible for the daily clinical operations of the center, including compliance, coordination of care, and ensuring patient and family satisfaction
- Assume all responsibilities and duties of the Director of Nursing in their absence
Requirements
- Valid New York State RN nursing license
- Commitment to resident-centered care and excellence in healthcare delivery
- Visionary mindset with a focus on innovation and quality improvement
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
- Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Experience in a nursing leadership role in a Long-Term Care or similar healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
