About the Role
This 10-week paid internship program offers a learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a global financial services company. You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, engage in projects that directly affect the business, interact with senior leaders, and network with employees and interns across offices. The program provides realistic experiences and information about working at Guardian.
Responsibilities
- Support projects and analyses that advance the goals of one or more Client Solutions and Wealth Management (CSWM) areas.
- Gather, organize, and analyze data to identify trends and inform recommendations.
- Prepare clear, well-structured deliverables such as summaries, presentations, and reports for team and leadership audiences.
- Collaborate across teams and build relationships while learning how the different areas of CSWM work together to serve customers and grow the business.
- Build an understanding of how the organization delivers financial solutions, supports distribution growth, enhances advisor capabilities, and drives transformational initiatives across the enterprise.
- Explore and apply AI tools to improve research, analysis, and day-to-day work where appropriate.
- Work and learn from supportive leaders, mentors, and team members across the organization who will help coach you as you develop your professional career.
- Learn about Guardian’s purpose, values, how the company works, and its suite of product and service offerings.
- Build a network of colleagues and have a sense of community with other interns and other parts of the business.
- Think broadly and ask questions about data, facts, and other information.
Requirements
- A course of study in mathematics, economics, a business-related discipline (such as finance, accounting, marketing, or management), or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort working in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- A collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with, or hands-on experience using, artificial intelligence (AI) tools to research, analyze, or improve the way work gets done.
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization.
- F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered.
- H1-B and green card sponsorship are not available for this position.
- Must be available for the full program dates of the internship program.
