About the Role
The Cleaner will perform a variety of custodial duties in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures for C&W Services, working under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces inside buildings.
- Operate light and heavy commercial floor and shampoo machines.
- Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas.
- Spot clean and shampoo rugs as directed.
- Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting.
- Wash windowsills, interior door glass, partition glass, and specified windows.
- Wash glass and trim at entrance doors (interior/exterior).
- Spot clean interior walls daily.
- Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily, including damp wiping glass surfaces, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, and sweeping/mopping/scrubbing floors.
- Monitor for defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, and report to supervisors.
- Collect building trash daily, place it in approved containers, and put it in the designated collection area.
- Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specifications.
- Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed.
- Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, cleaning leather and wood surfaces, polishing, and wall washing.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to take direction.

- Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
- Ability to use a portable vacuum cleaner (back pack style).
