About the Role
We are seeking motivated individuals passionate about teaching and learning to join our Business and Travel team. Aviation and Travel lecturers will work with students aged 16 and above across various qualifications and levels, contributing to a team known for high attendance, achievement, and success rates.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding, high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment that is forward-thinking.
- Act as a personal tutor to support attendance, retention, motivation, and progression through targeted support, coaching, and intervention.
- Engage with parents as a personal tutor.
- Enable diverse learners (16+) to achieve high pass rates and develop real-world business and travel industry skills for progression.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods, including digital/ILT strategies, to increase student participation, confidence, and independent learning.
- Play an active role in a collaborative department that evolves with changing business and travel sectors.
- Support employer engagement and enrichment activities to raise aspirations and open pathways into business and travel careers.
- Commit to developing real-world knowledge, skills, and behaviors.
- Collaborate with employers and external agencies to strengthen student support systems and enhance progression opportunities.
- Ensure personal knowledge and skills remain relevant.
