About the Role
TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Civil Engineering Interns for our Summer 2027 intern program out of our Austin, TX Office. This is a paid full-time position with the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists.
Responsibilities
- Support civil engineer design tasks including sheet setup, drafting, and proposal development.
- Support site layout and grading, utility design, cost estimates, bridge and highway design.
- Assist in the preparation of civil construction drawings.
- Use AUTOCAD, Civil-3D, HydroCAD, Microstation, PondPack, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office products.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
- Fully in-person position.
- May include field work and occasional driving as part of project responsibilities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Junior or senior pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, detail orientated person.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.
- Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow.
