Our Engineering teams tackle complex technical challenges across a global marketplace, building and scaling systems that serve millions of customers, riders, and partners daily. This role focuses on building and maintaining high-performance systems for our hyper-local marketplace, ensuring a seamless experience for millions of users.

Responsibilities

Design and scale backend services for our real-time marketplace using languages such as Go, Ruby, or Python.
Improve code structure and architecture by participating in deep technical discussions and reviewing code.
Enhance system reliability by focusing on visibility, monitoring, and the overall health of production systems.
Collaborate across teams to identify integration opportunities and influence the technical roadmap.
Take an active role in the hiring process, conducting engineering interviews and supporting peer growth.

Requirements

Pride in readable, well-designed, and well-tested software with a focus on long-term maintainability.
Experience writing web-based applications in any modern language (Go, Ruby/Rails, Python, Scala, or Rust).
Solid understanding of relational databases (such as PostgreSQL or MySQL).
Familiarity with web architecture at scale, ideally handling high-traffic environments (20krpm and above).
Exposure to NoSQL data backends or caching layers like Redis, DynamoDB, or ElasticSearch.
A problem-solving mindset, particularly when applied to complex logistical or marketplace challenges.
