About the Role
This part-time Accounts Payable role assists the Accounting Senior Manager and Assistant Controller in preparing and reporting financial statements. The primary responsibility is to manage and ensure daily Accounts Payable functions are performed accurately and on time, adhering to generally accepted accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Accounts Payable, including setting up new vendors, approving invoices, and processing payments.
- Record all payments to the general ledger.
- Review staff journal entries.
- Assist in the month-end close process, including expense accruals and related account reconciliations.
- Manage corporate credit cards and record company T&E transactions to the general ledger.
- Support other departmental functions as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, specifically Accounts Payable.
- Some supervisory experience desired.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software packages.
- Amalgamated Bank does not sponsor applicants for work visas.
