About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and reliable carers to support a 25-year-old gentleman living independently in Islington. This role involves providing complex care and daily living assistance, including support from a live-in carer and 12-hour daytime and night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and support with daily living activities
- Assisting with mobility, positioning, and transfers
- Supporting tracheostomy care and respiratory needs
- Monitoring and assisting with BiPAP therapy as required
- Communicating effectively using non-verbal methods
- Working closely with the family and healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Must be a driver
- Experience supporting individuals with complex physical needs
- Experience with moving and handling
- Experience with pressure area care
- Experience responding to significant muscle spasms
- Comfortable working in an environment with a smoking client
