About the Role

The IT Supplier & Planning Analyst will help optimize the cost, value, and quality of IT services by supporting procurement activities for the Information Services and Digital Solutions division, with a secondary focus on financial management. This role involves partnering with IT leaders, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and suppliers to enhance planning, financial oversight, contract administration, and resource capacity management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate procurement intake, sourcing, prioritization, and contract renewals.
  • Support contract and supplier management, including expectations, deliverables, performance, approvals, and spend controls.
  • Administer purchase orders from creation through modification, receipt, and closure.
  • Address quality or compliance issues related to goods and services.
  • Engage internal stakeholders and suppliers to align procurement decisions with business needs.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual IT financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance explanations.
  • Track and analyze IT spending, validate coding and allocations, and prepare expense information.
  • Resolve billing or vendor discrepancies.
  • Manage invoices through accurate review, timely processing, and appropriate allocation.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities within IT spending.
  • Prepare financial reports to support decision-making and compliance.
  • Forecast and report on IT resource capacity.
  • Review actual versus planned time allocations and support variance analysis.
  • Ensure data quality in resource capacity reporting.
  • Align resource allocations with approved statements of work and contracts.
  • Source fee-for-service resources.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree or community college diploma in Business or Office Administration.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in accounting, budget administration, and purchasing.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Confidence working with financial, procurement, and resource-planning information.
  • A solid understanding of IT terminology, licensing, and commercial agreements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Initiative to work independently and follow through on priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
