About the Role
Develop and implement Fraud Management strategies for RBC Bank across all products and channels by monitoring the current landscape and collaborating with internal and external partners. Achieve a balance between fraud loss, client experience, operational cost, and risk appetite. Support large transformational initiatives through thought leadership, risk identification, and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to business partners, assessing current and emerging fraud risks to develop and implement strategic plans supporting business transformation.
- Provide subject matter expertise on large-scale transformation initiatives, ensuring appropriate controls are implemented within RBC Bank and the industry for a seamless client experience balanced against fraud risk.
- Deliver timely updates to Senior Management and Business partners on fraud loss savings, performance against risk appetite, and ongoing risks.
- Conduct data analysis to support business case development for technology or FTE investment.
- Identify and execute opportunities to optimize the balance across risk pillars while managing a prioritized backlog of ideas.
- Stay informed about production and operations strategies and objectives, and research best-in-class fraud mitigation strategies and technologies.
- Communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a risk management, product, or channel role.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to executive audiences.
- Financial services industry experience with banking product knowledge.
- Ability to address complex and diverse scope problems and identify creative alternatives.
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking with a proven ability to source, analyze, and summarize transactional and financial data.
- Demonstrated skill in developing processes using creative analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and shift priorities.
- Professional written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in Project Management or Consulting (nice-to-have).
