About the Role
This position involves rotating 12-hour shift work within a hydroelectric power plant. The selected candidate must have a 2-year technical degree in a related technical discipline.
Responsibilities
- Perform all required tasks related to the trade associated with the respective project under direct supervision.
- Work with and assist Operators of a higher grade.
- Perform tasks which the Apprentice has completed and signed off in the Apprenticeship Program under general supervision.
- Maintain the cleanliness and housekeeping of workshops and equipment in current work areas.
- Complete training in the Apprenticeship Program at the pace and knowledge level prescribed in the Apprentice and Training Standard.
Requirements
- Must have strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Must be accepted into the Apprenticeship Program in accordance with the Apprenticeship Agreement.
- Must be able to perform work throughout the campus of a hydroelectric power plant.
- Must be able to perform rotating 12-hour shift work.
