About the Role
The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for processing non-gaming transactions, including the initiation and settlement of patron checks in all applicable F&B outlets. This role also involves assisting with daily restaurant functions, such as host or busser duties, all performed within company guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Be knowledgeable of Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino's history, property map, and facility locations.
- Manage cash drawer, including start-up and end-of-shift balancing.
- Settle patron checks using the resort POS system, handling all tender methods.
- Maintain accountability for cash, checks, and paperwork related to assigned cashier drawer.
- Understand and process non-gaming comps, gift cards, and various charge types.
- Account for all player's comp slips.
- Handle guest relations tactfully and ensure guest recovery.
- Assist with seating guests, preparing menus, and setting tables.
- Perform duties assigned by management.
- Collaborate with other departments for the overall benefit of the casino.
- Maintain current understanding of information security policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to company policies.
- Complete all required training programs within nine months of employment.
- Attend necessary meetings.
- Adapt to changes in duties, responsibilities, and expectations as needed.
- Work within a 24-hour schedule.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have an outgoing, friendly personality with a cheerful, positive, and accommodating disposition.
- Must be able to operate office equipment, including a 10-key adding machine.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
- Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and use fingers/hands for lifting and grasping.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to twenty pounds.
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions.
- Must be able to talk and hear customers and co-workers.
- Must be able to assist with special needs of customers.
- Required to have close visual acuity.
- Must possess physical stamina and a proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and the business community in all situations.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.

Salary/Compensations
- $16.00 starting rate
- Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education
